I'm sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through, having to learn... everything you did about what happened.That someone you trusted wasn't who you thought he was.

But if you want to talk about it, or just... do something else to get your mind off of things, like listen to music or come up with new spells... Well, I and the rest of the crew will be here.

His wasn't the most repulsive deal we've seen someone make with an orb.

Leaving him alive was the right choice- we weren't the ones he'd wronged. And when this is all over- you can go back and talk to him about it. Besides, in the end... He realized it wasn't worth it.

But the one thing I don't understand is- where did Nina come from?

No, his wasn't.

and maybe it's really reaching to hold onto the scrap of knowledge that jun realized in the end that this whole thing wasn't worth it, like somewhere within him his best friend still exists. ]

Nina was let in through a portal — I'm sure you can thank Ellia for that one. And it was a pretty damned good call too.

Nina always did have a way of keeping us in line when we needed it the most.

And she still does, apparently. And we should all thank Ellia- everyone, including Jun.

[Because if she hadn't been there, hadn't reversed the transformation and brought Ellia to talk him down, Sabriel doesn't know how that confrontation would have gone.]

Listen, if you want to be alone, that's all right, everyone understands. But if you want to play some music- I'll be around?

Oh, you don't have to tell me twice. You guys deciding to bring Nina in and Ellia opening the portal ... it prevented a lot more damage, a lot more loss. Ellia never deserved what happened to her, and I'm just — I'm mad that no one knew the truth of it for so long.

[ degar stops himself from (re)imagining what dweyre would think of him either, how disappointed he'd be that his little brother hadn't been around if he could have helped somehow. that guilt sits like a bitter pill in his stomach. ]

Thanks Sabriel. I think I'll have to take a rain-cheque on that for now, but I'll keep it in mind.
