Pieces sometimes makes it seem like hesitancy to give the whole picture.

Which I'm sure isn't completely untrue, considering how terrible a whole picture can be. [But she gets it, and her tone says as much.] ... I'm sorry. Was he your captain? I mean... before Degar? I wasn't sure if he'd always been...

[She's never really been good at keeping up with the two of them socially. Learning things like she should. But then again, sometimes she had to fight tooth and nail not to just lock herself in her room all day.

... yes, [ comes her answer, the one word bottomless with sorrow. ] Degar and I — we were just like any of you. So was our leader, but — he was among the first to be called here, and he just took control of directing us, motivating us, making sure we all survived.

[ she breathes a laugh. ] There were less of us than there are of you, so I suppose it was easier for us to have a leader.

Yeah, fat chance of us really having a certified leader that everyone trusts here...

I guess if I had to pick the closest thing, though -- you and Degar seem to make the cut.

[Which, in her opinion, is about as high of praise as someone can get.]

People... they did get to fulfill their regrets, right? Olivia didn't... I mean... Did people really get to use the orbs power and get out of here? Or...

[ her tone sounds a little choked, like she's seeing it for the compliment it is and isn't quite sure how to take it. luckily, ziggy changes the subject, and it's easier for viveca to answer that, her voice soft. ]

They did get out of here. They're all safely home, now.

... Are you able to, like...

[She shrugs.]

Can you see them? The people who went home.

[She seems like she's able to see a lot of things.]

Yes, [ she says after a pause. ]

I can. I kept their information in the station's systems so I could check up on them, from time to time.

So, if... someone where to go home from here — would we be able to ask how they're doing?

If they're okay?

Nothing invasive, I mean, just...

[She would like to make sure some people she cares about are okay.

And if they're not... she'd still like to know.]

[Biting her lip, she draws a face to mind.]

... How about Peter Quill? How's he doing?

[ it is after half an hour or so that viveca's voice sounds in ziggy's ears again. ]

He's alright. He recently celebrated Christmas with his friends, and learned that he has a sibling he had been unaware of.

He seemed like he'd totally be a big Christmas buff.

[But what a pleasant surprise, getting this message in her ear. Especially with all of the bullshit that had been doing on. After a moment, she replies:]

[Peter struggled a lot with being away from his friends. Family? Both.

She's happy for him.]
