For any questions you want to ask Viveca or Degar and receive an IC response, please direct them here. Please indicate in the subject line who you are trying to contact.
// VIVECA
Hi, what can I help you with?
// DEGAR
Today was gonna be the day, but they'll never throw it back to you. And by now, you should've somehow realized what you're not to do.
no subject
[ please, her voice seems to say, calm down. ]
He'll be fine. He's with everyone else who isn't here, they all made it to planetside successfully. And you may remember there are plenty of humans in this team. All have survived.
no subject
[ but but- ]
He's not used to it, he's an angel, he's out of his element when he's like this. He whines about a mosquito bite. Can't you just -- beam me up, Scotty?
no subject
[ there's an attempt at levity, but she follows it with something more serious. ] I'm sorry, Dean, I can't. Recharging the platform takes days... and even then, the way it is now? I can't risk it. Chances are something could go wrong again, even worse than it already did. I could send you to a different planet. I could send you straight into the volcano. You could be suspended between all the universes and hang there forever, unable to leave.
no subject
Well, don't wanna be in a volcano.
[ like, at all. ]
You got any idea who the creep was cackling like a banshee in our ear?
no subject
Her name is Olivia. She's the station's former AI. I thought I erased her existence, but [ he can't see it, but she grimaces as she admits, ] clearly I didn't.
no subject
[ c r e e p y ]
Why? Did she Hal 9000 the last set of people? She gonna come back?
no subject
[ "the last set of people", dean says, and viveca privately closes her eyes; her people. she was there for all of it. she wonders if he remembers that.
then she says, more briskly, ]
She's not to be trusted. As for whether she's going to come back... that's another reason I'm not going to even try to send you anywhere. Until I can erase every last trace of her from the system, no one is going anywhere.
no subject
[ And...yeah, he knows. He just -- wasn't sure if saying something along those lines would make unhealed wounds raw. He's not got a ton of tact. ]
Don't trust Hal - got it. Is there any way any of us can help?
no subject
[ she says no more of that; whatever happened, did happen at least partly because of olivia, and viveca has no kind words about her... nor a will to discuss it all in more detail. ]
I don't know. But if I can't deal with her myself... it may be something we have to try.
no subject
He doesn't, though - because he can recognize a closed topic when he sees one, but Lord knows it's Winchester instinct to keep it up until someone either smacks him, tells him to go to hell, or just. Throws him in hell. ]
I mean, we're here for a reason. Don't be afraid to ask us.
no subject
[ instead of the dismissal it might be, it is genuine; her tone is tired but soft, grateful. ]
I... I sometimes forget about that. I want to make sure we do everything to make this as easy for you as possible. Burdening you more with something that I should be able to do... [ well. it feels dangerously much like failure, and she's never dealt well with that. ]
no subject
[ It's said with a smile in his voice, but he's also deadass serious. He knows precisely what it's like, feeling like you're burdening others with shit YOU should be able to do. It's something he struggles with constantly - he should've protected Sam more, should've been able to get him out of hell without making more deals, because deals never end well. Not with demons, not with orbs, not with anything. ]
Nothing's ever easy. Just remember we're all in this together.
