Okay, multi-instrumentalist. Ngl, I love the concept of a lute considering we already have a violinist and dizi player on call.
I can just see it now. Straddling genres, redefining music, getting nominated for album of the year and not winning because music awards are fucking rigged.

Firstly how are there awards? How are they judged?

There are a lot. Each country has their own and within a country they might be divided by genre, language, group… Depends on the interests of the people organizing it. They’re also the ones that decide how the judging is done; yes, the public and the judges can and do disagree.

Typically they’re held each year and celebrate the musical achievements made in that time. So, they might celebrate Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and they also honor achievements and performances in specific genres. Sometimes one will hand out a Lifetime Achievement, but those are rare and for performers who’ve made significant contributions to music.
