personal goals
● ● ● PERSONAL GOALS
On each planet, in addition to the characters all having their mission to complete, each character is also given a PERSONAL GOAL to fulfill. If they succeed in fulfilling it during the mission, the orb they recover will eventually lend its power to undoing their regret. If they don’t succeed, the orb they recover during that mission will not lend them its power.
Here’s a quick cheat sheet for this:
• If the orb is not recovered, its power will help none of the characters.
• If the orb is recovered, it will help only the characters who have completed their personal goals.
• If Character A completes their goal, the orb will eventually lend them its power.
• If Character B fails to complete their goal, the orb will not lend them its power.
Remember that personal goals are not technically mandatory. It is always up to the character to decide if the goal is something they can or want to fulfill. Similarly, players are not obligated to thread their personal goals out in order to "complete" it. This is an in-game mechanic meant to offer character development and an opportunity for CR; it's not meant to be a burden or added workload! Goals themselves are revealed to characters individually, but unless otherwise specified they are free to share them with their fellow teammates.

The Darkling knew about the goal, and specifically asked Peter for help. And help was granted.
The Sleeper
CHARACTER: The Darkling / Aleksander Morozova
MISSION: Kilnan / the sleeper
GOAL: TRUTH • Reveal one great weakness to someone you consider close.
SUMMARY: There is only one person on the station that the darkling considers close - Alina. So, without even thinking about his personal mission or anything else but to save her from making a mistake, he admits that he can't live without her. His greatest weakness.

Bad Company

MISSION: Bad Company, part 1
GOAL: Obey a teammate's every command for a day.
SUMMARY: Determined to fulfill every last one of these personal missions, the Darkling asks Clara for help - she's clever, she's observant and they already have report. But, importantly, she likes being a hero and was the least likely to abuse this situation.

CHARACTER: Aleksander Morozova
MISSION: Upstairs, downstairs
GOAL: Work together with someone you don't trust and let them take the lead
SUMMARY: Drift made the plans for the jail-break in Taeum and the Darkling followed his lead. From driving to joining in on the effort to safely extract the other orbers, he allowed Drift to plan it all out and he worked with him (and Dean) to do this.
The Darkling does not trust Drift. At all.
4:50 to Vrefesea
CHARACTER: The Darkling / Aleksander Morozova
MISSION: 4:50 to Vrefesea
GOAL: Make 3 nice gestures for 3 people you don't know well.
SUMMARY: Determined to fulfill his goal, the Darkling does a nice gesture for Bones and Eleven (handwaved due to hiatus), and
he saved Peter a fish after being incarcerated (link). He does know Peter, but he doesn't know him well. On the other hand, he calls Peter a friend and means it... this might make this a fail on the personal mission.Passed
He allowed Yennefer to win in pool. A nice gesture for someone he doesn't know.

GOAL: Help someone who does not want it.
SUMMARY: He helps two people, both who did very much not want it. He helped Felix in the space battle by blasting the pursuing spacecraft in to very small bits and he helped Alina by warning her to stay away from the fights.
