personal goals
● ● ● PERSONAL GOALS
On each planet, in addition to the characters all having their mission to complete, each character is also given a PERSONAL GOAL to fulfill. If they succeed in fulfilling it during the mission, the orb they recover will eventually lend its power to undoing their regret. If they don’t succeed, the orb they recover during that mission will not lend them its power.
Here’s a quick cheat sheet for this:
• If the orb is not recovered, its power will help none of the characters.
• If the orb is recovered, it will help only the characters who have completed their personal goals.
• If Character A completes their goal, the orb will eventually lend them its power.
• If Character B fails to complete their goal, the orb will not lend them its power.
Remember that personal goals are not technically mandatory. It is always up to the character to decide if the goal is something they can or want to fulfill. Similarly, players are not obligated to thread their personal goals out in order to "complete" it. This is an in-game mechanic meant to offer character development and an opportunity for CR; it's not meant to be a burden or added workload! Goals themselves are revealed to characters individually, but unless otherwise specified they are free to share them with their fellow teammates.

it didn't get threaded out because my life combusted, but it happened in spirit and itachi now knows way too many disney song titles for his liking or comfort.

SUMMARY: He saved some baby crows. He also befriended a local stray cat that he diligently fed during their time there. Hilariously, while he was obviously considering the goal, this is actually just completely normal behaviour for him.

SUMMARY: He locked himself in a room with his cubits and just kept a running commentary of his thoughts. Also: he didn't sleep for 24 hours because what if that meant screwing up his goal.
(Handwaved, because it's the least interactive thing he's ever done lmao)

GOAL: Help someone out of an embarrassing situation by being even more embarrassing.
SUMMARY: He helped Jake out of a situation, but it backfired on him immensely because it meant that Jake had free reign to basically invent his entire fake backstory for the world. This is the story of how Itachi spent the entire mission having to pretend he couldn't fight.
It was Hell.
(The main event was handwaved but the fallout was played out across several threads oop)
