• Players are exempt from AC so long as the hiatus lasts 2+ weeks of the month.
• If a hiatus lasts shorter than 2 weeks, players must provide half AC.
• Hiatuses cannot be retroactively declared.
• No hiatuses are allowed during a character's first month in the game unless previously discussed with mods.
• If you took a strike the previous month, you cannot request for a hiatus the following month, and vice versa. Should circumstances necessitate it, discuss it with the mods.
• Contact the mods if you must take two month-long hiatuses.
• Every player may only take one strike or one hiatus every three (3) months.
• If a hiatus is rescinded, comment on your original hiatus comment.
• What happens ICly while on hiatus?

• Your character can go on autopilot and continue their daily life as usual.
• On the station, your character falls ill and has to stay in stasis in the infirmary.
• During a mission, your character experiences a teleportation malfunction so that they either remain behind on the station while everyone else goes on the mission, or they are sent somewhere else than the others - a different city on the same planet, or a completely separate planet. For this, you may provide your own suggestions to the mods alongside your hiatus comment.

• Option B: they decide they want to go back home and not stay to fix the regret, in which case they can just return.
