Hey. [ Drift is a little bit caught off guard by Viveca's friendliness. Even if she was an AI, he had come to think of her as another human, and not immediately being met with suspicion was an odd feeling. ]

There shouldn't be a scheduling conflict. The exact timeframe isn't crucial if it coincides with what most residents consider the 'new year.'

It's called the festival of Lost Light, and a few of us were looking to alter it somewhat to cater to a more human audience. Standard festival entertainment for about a twenty-four, forty-eight-hour cycle. I'm speaking with another orber by the name of Jiang Yanli to get a general idea of what humans expect from a typical new years event.

What I wanted to ask you is there was a way to replicate lanterns. Floating paper and wood ones are self-explanatory, but for the Lost Light, what my species uses are simple floating sphere-shaped lanterns. The technology is simple and easy to replicate. All they need to do is store enough data that an individual can read the name, brief message, and possible photograph or short video when touched. We use them to remember the dead and missing, and they're designed to fade away after forty-eight hours. I'm no engineer, but as I said, they're rudimentary.

I've seen some interest in incorporating this to invite everyone on the station to participate.
